Meeting between King Mohammed VI and the Mauritanian President: Strengthening the Moroccan-Mauritanian Partnership
In a statement released on the afternoon of December 20, the Moroccan Royal Cabinet indicated that “His Majesty King Mohammed VI received at the Royal Palace in Casablanca His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
The statement added, “This meeting is part of the strong relations of trust and cooperation between the two countries and the sincere bonds of brotherhood that unite the two brotherly peoples.
During this meeting, the two Heads of State expressed their satisfaction with the positive development of the Moroccan-Mauritanian partnership in all fields.
They also affirmed their determination to develop strategic projects to link the two neighboring countries and to coordinate their contributions within the framework of Royal Initiatives in Africa, particularly the African-Atlantic gas pipeline and the initiative aimed at facilitating access for Sahel countries to the Atlantic Ocean.
