I swear I will not vote, I will board a boat to emigrate

The people’s response to the vote on September 7th came from the Oran stadium.

The joke seems to have gone on long enough. Algerians will not go to vote tomorrow, September 7th. They reject the contempt and humiliation their rulers want to subject them to.

There is no need to be a great scholar to guess the Algerians’ response to the electoral farce. You cannot mock the people by inviting them to endorse the choices of shadow decision-makers while humiliating them at the same time. A people whose dream is limited to escaping aboard miserable boats has no interest in a rigged election. Yesterday, September 5th, in unison, supporters of the national football team chanted loudly and clearly, ”I swear I will not vote, I will board a boat to emigrate.” How will Tebboune and his patrons react to this frank and unambiguous stance of Algerians who refuse to be deceived by false promises and who do not hesitate to defy repression? As shown in video 1, the people announce their refusal to vote, just as they demonstrate in video 2 their rejection of the regime’s manipulation. This old man, whom spectators at the Miloud Hadefi stadium chased away, was dancing a few minutes earlier, showing his support for Tebboune. He was simply expelled and banned by the people.
