Morocco to Build a Military Airbase in the Sahara in Collaboration with the United States and France

Morocco is making significant strides in strengthening its national and regional security, while the Algerian regime, mired in its own conspiracies and tacit support for destabilizing groups, continues to isolate itself on the international stage.

In the face of growing terrorist threats in the Sahel, Rabat is taking the lead and, in collaboration with the United States and France, is considering the establishment of an advanced military airbase in the far south of Moroccan Sahara. This development is a real nightmare for Algeria, whose influence is crumbling under the weight of its own contradictions.

According to the Spanish newspaper La Razón, this strategic infrastructure will serve as a platform for targeted operations against terrorist groups operating in the Sahel, in cooperation with countries such as Niger, Mali, and Burkina Faso.

This initiative, far from being limited to Morocco’s protection alone, also aims to ensure European security in the face of the expansion of extremist movements. Meanwhile, Algeria, through its complicity and blindness, continues to allow these same groups to proliferate, thus threatening the stability of the entire region.

While the Algerian regime remains mired in hollow rhetoric, Morocco is taking action. Thanks to an unprecedented intelligence operation, Moroccan security forces recently dismantled a terrorist cell preparing a series of attacks against the Kingdom. This operation resulted in the seizure of a large arsenal of weapons and explosives in several Moroccan cities, including Errachidia, a border town near Algeria. This raises a burning question: where did these weapons come from?

The connection between terrorism and the complacency of the Algerian regime is becoming increasingly evident. Security experts warn that the Sahel has become a major hub for jihadist organizations, largely due to the security vacuum and corruption that are undermining Algeria’s institutions. Rather than fighting these threats, the ruling power in Algeria prefers to fuel regional tensions and stir discord by supporting phantom separatist entities.

While Morocco strengthens its international cooperation to eradicate the scourge of terrorism, Algeria sinks into an archaic and suicidal stance. The time when it could deceive international opinion with its false propaganda is coming to an end. Rabat, by assuming a leadership role in the fight against terrorism in the Sahel, reminds the world that true power lies not in rhetoric, but in action.

The message is clear: Algeria can continue to foment instability and play a dangerous game with dark forces, but Morocco, on the other hand, moves forward with determination, supported by its allies and backed by an unbeatable strategic vision. History will judge harshly those who, through incompetence or complicity, allowed chaos to thrive at the expense of regional peace and security.
