Journalist and writer Hicham Aboud has finally escaped a kidnapping attempt in Spain, organized and orchestrated by the Algerian intelligence services through a deal with a mafia network operating under an organization listed as a terrorist group.

The operation was carried out on the evening of Thursday, October 17, after Hicham Aboud arrived in Barcelona from France, passing through Brussels Airport, where a group affiliated with a terrorist organization was waiting for him, tracking his movements from the moment he left his home in northern France.

The kidnapping did take place, and Aboud endured a difficult time in the hands of the group, during which he suffered severe violence. The well-known Algerian journalist resisted the kidnappers with all his strength, trying in every way to save himself from a fate that would have led him into the hands of the military regime in Algeria. However, his efforts failed due to the cooperation of four strong, well-trained individuals specialized in human trafficking and other illegal activities.

He was eventually rescued from the kidnappers by a Spanish security agency, which immediately placed him under medical supervision, security protection, and judicial investigation. The case is now open with the relevant authorities in Spain.
